Set at the very end of a quiet road with only one neighbouring property, this peaceful haven offers rare seclusion and privacy — and front-row seats to one of the most beautiful and tranquil parts of the river. Here, dolphins glide past, pelicans soar overhead, and the rhythm of nature becomes your daily soundtrack.

The expansive grassed area is the heart of the property. Children can run freely, play cricket, explore the cubby house, or simply lie under the sun while you relax nearby. This calm stretch of river feels like your own private sanctuary. Bring your boat and anchor it directly out front on the sea wall, launch one of the provided kayaks from the slipway, or enjoy fishing and crabbing just steps from the lawn. Many guests love starting their mornings with a peaceful paddle upriver to nearby Pelican’s Café for coffee, one of the area’s hidden gems.

A charming permaculture garden offers seasonal fruits and herbs, inviting you to connect with the land and enjoy nature’s abundance.

The spacious balcony and veranda will quickly become your favourite gathering place. Enjoy slow morning coffees as mist rises from the water, long family lunches overlooking the river, and relaxed evening dinners while the kids play safely on the lawn below. As darkness falls, the absence of surrounding lights reveals spectacular star-filled skies. Guests often comment that winter evenings spent around the outdoor campfire pit, roasting marshmallows under the stars, are among their most treasured memories.

Inside, the cottage blends timeless character with modern comfort. The open-plan living area features soaring timber ceilings, warm wooden floors, and a perfectly appointed kitchen with everything you need, including a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. The cosy lounge invites you to unwind with an Apple TV-enabled television, wood fireplace, reverse-cycle air conditioning, and a selection of board games, DVDs, and entertainment for the whole family.

The cottage comfortably sleeps up to five guests, with a peaceful master bedroom featuring a Queen bed and direct veranda access, and a second bedroom offering a double-single bunk (with a pull out single trundle bed) — ideal for families.

This house is for small quiet group or family holidays only (as are all of our holiday homes), and is not a venue for functions, party house or to be used for social gatherings or weddings. The maximum number of guests at the home at any one time must not exceed the number of guests confirmed in the reservation.

Please note the property is absolute riverfront and unfenced, so children must be supervised at all times near the water.

There is no smoking allowed inside or outside.

Pet friendly - by prior approval only. $80 per pet per stay will apply.
