Meelup Farmhouse
Located on Wadandi land in Naturaliste, Meelup Farmhouse is truly the perfect venue for everyone. Some of the family experiences here include; meeting furry and feathered friends with Farmer Danny every Saturday and Sunday morning at 9.15am, opportunities to say hello to the beautiful Highland Cows, and our personal favourite, the Meelup Dairy. Open from 9am to 12pm, the Meelup Dairy brings you fresh coffee, insanely good ice cream and delightful baked goods. While you enjoy the sunshine and sip your coffee, the kids can play on the grassed areas and get a taste for the freedom of farm life.
Meelup Farmhouse also has some great Easter events lined up this school holidays, so make sure you head to their website to check these out.

Margaret River Rotary Park
Located only moments outside the Margaret River township, the Rotary Park is the ideal recreational area for a quick pitstop to let the family stretch their legs. Here you will find gardens to explore, a playground to enjoy, exercise equipment to get your energy out on, BBQs for an evening by the river, and of course, bathroom amenities nearby.
If you are looking for a way to make your trip down south a bit more educational for the kids, take a wander across the wooden footbridge in the Rotary Park to explore the ‘Old Settlement’. Let curiosities run wild as you venture through original settlers’ buildings, including the Old Milking Shed, Dairy facilities and the old ‘Group House’. Make sure you also say hello to 'Old Kate' the locomotive – a memorial to the pioneers of the timber industry in the Margaret River region. The kids can even climb up onto the locomotive, and imagine what it was like cruising through the forest over 100 years ago!
